In a remarkable turn of events, Mymensingh’s Chhayabani Cinema held a special midnight screening last Tuesday, a first in the last 20 years, to provide more audiences the opportunity to watch the film, confirms Mohammad Kamal Hossain, the theatre's booking officer.

Several movies, songs, and OTT content have hit the screens and digital platforms during Eid ul-Azha, garnering significant attention and applause from audiences. Among them, the spotlight has prominently shone on the movie "Toofan", directed by Raihan Rafi.

On-site reports from Madhumita Cinema Hall revealed that a group of enraged fans stormed the theatre, causing significant damage. Several people kicked and shattered the glass doors, tore down posters, and destroyed display boards.

Raihan Rafi, the film’s director, informed that the film is currently in a strong position. The audience demand is immense, and ticket sales are skyrocketing. The number of shows could increase further, sources confirmed.

The release of the energetic title track of “Toofan” (titled after the film) several days ago, amped up its reception across social media platforms almost immediately. Notably, Tahsan Shuvo, the man behind many title tracks for Bengali films, was also the one who penned the lyrics of the song.
