Shamar Joseph, who impressed in his Test debut series against Australia earlier this year, is now poised to mark his T20I debut after being picked in the T20 World Cup squad.

Fast bowling sensation Shamar Joseph should be fast-tracked into the West Indies squad for the home T20 World Cup in June, said former captain Chris Gayle.

Joseph overcame other top performers in Tests during the month: England’s Ollie Pope and Australia’s Josh Hazlewood.

Joseph will join LSG for INR 3 crores. The speedster was recently at the forefront during West Indies’ historic Test win at the Gabba.  This will be Joseph's first stint in the IPL.

Cricket West Indies (CWI) said it has upgraded pace sensation Shamar Joseph's contract following his stellar debut series in Australia.

"(I'm) going back home with this joy in my heart and mind. I'm so happy," Joseph said in a video posted on the team's social media on Tuesday.
