In a post-credits sequence in Zachary Levi's Shazam! it was rumoured that Black Adam actor Dwayne Johnson prevented figures from The Rock's movie from appearing.

When he won a role in Steven Spielberg's 1997 film Amistad, Hounsou established his Hollywood reputation. However, he stated that he became frustrated with the restricted roles available to Black performers.

After “Black Adam '' starring Dwayne Johnson appeared before the fans last year, DC has returned with yet another superhero film called "Shazam! The Fury of the Gods". This new production will count as the sequel of  “Shazam” (2019), and is to hit theatres in March 2023.
