After more than a decade, popular actress Nusrat Imrose Tisha is set to return to Bangladesh Television (BTV) through its upcoming Eid special magazine programme “Anandamela”. The actress will be seen performing to a medley of three songs for the show.

As always, the special “Ityadi” Eid episode will be aired on Bangladesh Television on the night following Eid, right after the 8pm Bengali news. “Ityadi” is written, directed, and hosted by Hanif Sanket and produced by Fagun Audio Vision.

“Bondhugo Shono”, the latest song from the upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr release “Jongli”, was unveiled on Friday (March 21) via Tiger Media’s official YouTube channel, offering a glimpse into the on-screen romance between Shobnom Bubly and Siam Ahmed.

Deepto TV has announced a week-long special programme to mark Eid-ul-Fitr, featuring a lineup of Bengali films, including three world premieres.

Shobnom Bubly has been a regular presence in Eid films over the years, and this year is no exception. She is set to star in the upcoming movie “Jongli”, directed by M Raahim.

The teaser for “Jongli” has now been unveiled. Directed by M Rahim, the film had previously released a pre-teaser, while the official teaser dropped yesterday evening. The 1-minute-11-second clip has left fans surprised by Siam Ahmed’s intense and ferocious transformation.

The upcoming film “Jongli”, starring Siam Ahmed, Shobnom Bubly, and Prarthana Fardin Dighi, is set to hit theatres across Bangladesh this Eid-ul-Fitr. However, ahead of its local release, the film is also gearing up for a global rollout.

Actress Shobnom Bubly shared the poster of her upcoming starrer project “Pinik” on social media, announcing its release during Eid. The film is set to join the lineup alongside new movies starring Shakib Khan, Siam Ahmed, and Afran Nisho for the upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr.

This year, an estimated 50 Bangladeshi films have been released. Among these, only a handful have achieved commercial success. Then again, despite not performing well at the box office, other cinematic aspects like actors, actresses, and film songs have managed to remain at the centre of discussions throughout the year.

The film “Pinik”, directed by Zahid Jewel, is among the highly anticipated releases this Eid, starring Ador Azad and Bubly. Joining the festive lineup, Shakib Khan, Siam Ahmed and Afran Nisho will also bring their latest project to the audience.

The crime thriller “Shaan”, directed by M Rahim and featuring Siam Ahmed and Puja Cherry, was originally released during Eid-ul-Fitr 2022 and performed well in theatres and on OTT platforms. It’s now set to make its Indian television debut as “Arjun: The Super Cop” on Zee Bangla Cinema, airing on November 10.

The film industry continues to face significant challenges as most cinemas remain closed, and the few that have reopened are struggling due to a lack of new releases. Filmmakers are hesitant to debut their projects in this climate, forcing theatre owners to rely on screening older films. 

On the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha, Mohammad Iqbal's film “Revenge” hit 15 theatres with Ziaul Roshan and Shobnom Bubly in the lead roles. Despite the initial buzz, the film has struggled to attract audiences in both single-screen theatres and multiplexes. In a disappointing turn of events, “Revenge” was pulled from Star Cineplex just five days after its release due to poor performance.

As one of the biggest festivals of the country, Eid-ul-Azha arrives, and due to it, celebrities have been busy in recent months, working on new projects to gift their audience, ensuring their fans can enjoy the festivals to the fullest.

This Eid-ul-Azha, it is almost certain that three films will hit the silver screens—“Toofan”, “Moyurakkhi” and “Revenge”. These films feature three ace actresses -- Shobnom Bubly, Eamin Haque Bobby and Indian actress Mimi Chakraborty.

Shakib Khan’s upcoming film “Tufan” is not the only movie creating buzz for this Eid. His co-star, actress Shobnom Bubly, also has a feature set lined up for the upcoming Eid release. 

Known for his successful career armed with several hit films, Siam is now preparing to appear in a completely new look for this action-packed movie with another prominent actress Shobnom Yesmin Bubly.
