The solar-powered plane Solar Impulse has arrived at New York's JFK airport after making the short trip from Lehigh Valley in Pennsylvania.

The solar-powered aeroplane, Solar Impulse, has completed a three-day flight over the Pacific Ocean.

Solar Impulse, the aeroplane that is powered only by the sun, has landed in Hawaii after making a historic 7,200km flight across the Pacific from Japan.

Swiss pilot Andre Borschberg begins his bid to cross the Pacific, from China to Hawaii, in the zero-fuel Solar Impulse aeroplane.
