The government is going to set up three solar-based power plants in order to produce 370 megawatt (MW) of electricity in the country.

Saudi-Bangladesh joint-venture company to set up the plant

Two local garment exporters, a private Saudi Arabian company and state-run Bangladesh Power Development Board (BPDB) are planning to jointly set up a solar power plant with a generation capacity of 300 megawatts (MW). 

Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) to go for roof-top solar power for one-fourth of its infrastructures. To install these roof-top solar panels, BUET has recently signed an agreement with Genex Infrastructure Limited.
