Noted Tollywood director Srijit Mukherji is suffering from Dengue. While rumours had swirled for a few days, it was the director's own social media post that confirmed the news on Saturday.

According to reports, Srijit was suffering from fever, and they were at the last phase of the shooting, with a one day shoot remaining to complete the film.

On the occasion of the 43rd death anniversary of 'Mohanayak' Uttam Kumar, renowned director Srijit Mukheji released the trailer preview of his much-anticipated film, "Oti Uttam". 

Excitement levels soared as the official logo launching ceremony took place today at the historic Basubati in Kolkata, where the star-studded cast gathered to celebrate the beginning of an unforgettable cinematic journey.

The "Shurongo" team looked super excited engaging in funny banters with popular host Mir Afsar Ali. Afran Nisho, Raihan Rafi and Tama Mirza also enjoyed a hearty brunch with Jaya Ahsan and Srijit Mukherji. 

Mithila further emphasised that she has known Jaya for a long time, even before her marriage to Srijit, and sees no reason to make a fuss about their past.

Directed by Raajhorshee Dey, “Mayaa” has been released across 28 halls in the city.

Jaya Ahsan was seen in Srijit Mukherji's directorial projects, "Rajkahini" and "Ek Je Chhilo Raja", around five years ago. At present, it is being speculated that Jaya might be seen in Srijit's upcoming cop-multiverse film, "Dasham Avatar".

Dev has announced on Twitter that he will not be working on a biopic about Nawab Siraj ud-Daulah with filmmaker Srijit Mukherji. During a #AskDev session on Twitter, the actor clarified that he isn't a part of the biopic.

While the news did not explicitly mention any names, many suspect that the couple in question could be none other than the director-actor duo, Srijit Mukherji and Rafiath Rashid Mithila.
