The breakthrough came during a meeting held Thursday (May 22) afternoon at Star Cineplex’s Bashundhara City branch, where both parties agreed on a revised revenue-sharing model. While the exact financial terms remain undisclosed, the agreement is being hailed as a significant move towards greater transparency and collaboration in the country’s film exhibition sector.

Star Cineplex is embarking on a journey to bring the magic of the silver screen to a wider audience. Celebrating its 19th anniversary last month, Mahboob Rahman Ruhel, the founder of Star Cineplex, unveiled an ambitious plan to increase the number of cinema halls to 40 within the next year.

Today, January 13, saw the inauguration of the seventh branch of Star Cineplex, at the Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Hi-Tech Park in Rajshahi.

The new branch of Star Cineplex is all set to open in the port city, Chittagong on December 2. The audience can enjoy the movie screening from the next day after the grand opening of Chittagong branch, according to Mesbah Uddin Ahmed, Manager, Media & Marketing department of Star Cineplex.

Minister of Information, Hasanul Haq Inu was the chief guest of the event. “I would like to congratulate Star Cineplex for reaching such a tremendous milestone,” said the minister.
