Minister of State for Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Nasrul Hamid has regretted suspending power supply to Sunamganj district and adjoining areas.

State Minister for Power and Energy Nasrul Hamid says the Barapukuria Coal Mine authority started supplying 100 tonnes of coal from yesterday to Barapukuria Thermal Power Plant for generating electricity.

With measured use, the country’s current gas reserve will last for about the next 16 years, Nasrul Hamid, state minister for power says in the parliament.
