Revisiting ‘The Long Walk’ (Signet Books, 1979) by Stephen King on his 78th birthday

Flanagan has become a defining voice in contemporary horror with acclaimed works such as “The Haunting of Hill House”, “Midnight Mass”, and “Doctor Sleep”. His craftsmanship has now earned King’s public endorsement, further cementing his reputation as one of the genre’s most innovative storytellers.

Prime Video has officially greenlit “Carrie”, a television series based on Stephen King’s acclaimed novel. The series will be spearheaded by Mike Flanagan—known for “The Fall of the House of Usher” and “Midnight Mass”—who will serve as writer, executive producer, and showrunner, while also directing a number of episodes. 

The live-action rock series follows the rise of a rock band through the 1970s Los Angeles music scene as they embark on a quest for worldwide fame.
