Zabeer Zarif Akhter, a student from St. Joseph Higher Secondary School, Dhaka, has been awarded the Stockholm Junior Water Prize Bangladesh 2025. Having won the same national title last year, Zabeer will once again represent Bangladesh at the global finals in Stockholm during World Water Week, competing against national champions from other countries.

Zabeer Zarif Akhter, a 17-year-old Bangladeshi student from St. Joseph Higher Secondary School, has secured the national title in the Stockholm Junior Water Prize competition. His water purification system, crafted from recycled electronic waste, aims to tackle water pollution and waterborne diseases while promoting environmental responsibility.

Bangladesh has won the People's Choice Award at Stockholm Junior Water Prize for using naturally produced polyglutamic acid along with moringa to purify water.
