The blockbuster Eid release, "Shurongo," starring actor Afran Nisho and Tama Mirza, has not only taken the Bangladeshi audience by storm, but has now ventured into West Bengal, India. With the movie being screened in 31 theaters in West Bengal since yesterday, the film's stars and crew are witnessing the wave of appreciation firsthand.

Shahriar Shakil, the film’s producer, confirmed the news to The Daily Star. He is currently in Kolkata, where the movie will premiere later this evening. Raihan Rafi expressed his optimism, hoping that the West Bengal audience will embrace the film as warmly as the audience in Bangladesh has.

The "Shurongo" team looked super excited engaging in funny banters with popular host Mir Afsar Ali. Afran Nisho, Raihan Rafi and Tama Mirza also enjoyed a hearty brunch with Jaya Ahsan and Srijit Mukherji. 

Ahead of its release in West Bengal, SVF treated the audience with the movie's trailer on July 16. The trailer showcased some magnetic moments and powerful dialogues from the film. 

Starting from next week, "Shurongo" will be screened in over 50 theatres across the country.

During the surprise visit, the residents of Bhuapur requested the star to construct a cinema hall for their hometown. Bhuapur once had two cinema halls, however, none remain currently.

On Monday, the "Shurongo" actors Afran Nisho and Tama Mirza, director Raihan Rafi, Chorki CEO Redoan Rony and Alpha-i Managing Director Shahriar Shakil addressed several issues regarding the film, including the global release details.

Nisho's long-awaited silver screen appearance didn't disappoint his fans, who have been eagerly waiting to watch him where he arguably belongs.

"Shurongo" has been running in 28 theatres since its release. According to Raihan Rafi, the film has been doing well in both multiplexes and single screens.

"Shurongo," starring Afran Nisho and Tama Mirza, has become the talk of the town both locally and abroad. The buzz surrounding the film has reached new heights as it prepares for a much-anticipated release in theatres across India, the USA, Canada, Australia, and the Middle East.

The "Shurongo" team also visited a handful of theatres on the second day of Eid, planning to visit more today, on Eid day-3 as well.

"Shurongo" was released across the country yesterday, has increased the shows on the second day due to the audiences' demand.

“Ask him who his favourite actress is,” smiled Tama Mirza, as she teasingly pointed towards a wry-smiling Afran Nisho. The chemistry between the two shone though, as the two visited The Daily Star premises to promote "Shurongo", Nisho’s momentous first film.

This Eid, we will get to witness several gorgeous actresses competing for the hearts of the public with their films. Apu Biswas, Shobnom Bubly, Tama Mirza, Idhika Paul, and Bidya Sinha Mim are some of the noteworthy actresses vying for the pedestal. Moreover, Bubly is likely to have three releases this Eid. “Shurongo” and “Prohelika” are two upcoming films that have gained un-cut release clearance from the Bangladesh Censor Board.

The trailer promises the audience a unique story filled with suspense, drama and thrills, as it gives a glimpse into the world of “Surongo”, through a scene without any dialogues.

Tama started shooting “Shurongo” in remote areas of Sylhet. After that, she shot the last lot in Chittagong, amidst extreme heat with the whole unit.
