Bangladesh once again protested Myanmar's military build-up along the Tombru border when the two countries held a flag meeting at Ghumdhum of Bandarban yesterday.

Myanmar yesterday deployed a huge contingent of its army with heavy weapons along the Tombru border with Bangladesh, creating panic among the Rohingyas on the adjacent no-man's land. Frightened, some of the refugees entered the Bangladesh territory.

Myanmar has violated border norms by deploying additional forces with arms on their bordering area which is opposite to Bangladesh’s Tombru border, Border Guard Bangladesh Additional Director General Brig Gen Mojibur Rahman says.
