Bangladesh are set to play the first T20I in Gwalior against hosts India and there is expectation of quality cricket from the fans. The Tigers are however without Shakib Al Hasan, who recently in a bombshell press conference in Kanpur revealed that he had already played his last T20I match during the last T20 World Cup.

Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) yesterday named a host of players for 'A' team's tour of Pakistan to play Pakistan A in two four-day matches and three one-day matches. Two separate squads were announced for the two four-day matches and another squad for the one-day matches on August 23, 25 and 27 respectively.

Bangladesh batter Towhid Hridoy believes anything is possible if someone really works really hard to achieve it.

“Someone sent me these photos. It’s midnight here right now, but I can’t get these photos out of my mind. I feel terrible thinking someone had to bleed because of me,” Hridoy wrote on social media.

Leg-spinner Rishad Hossain ended with 3-22 and Taskin Ahmed (2-25) chipped in with a pair of wickets as Sri Lanka were restricted to 124-9 and then Towhid Hridoy smashed four sixes in his 40 from 20 balls as Bangladesh reached the target with an over to spare.

“To tell you the truth, I don’t want to see anything beside my name. I want results for my team. It’s a team game. I will obviously try my best for my team. I want my team to play the semifinal at the very least,” Hridoy said in the video.

Towhid Hridoy earned a maiden call-up to the Bangladesh Test side as the young batter replaces experienced campaigner Mushfiqur Rahim in the squad for the first Test against Sri Lanka which will begin at Sylhet International Cricket Stadium on Friday.

Bangladesh batter Towhid Hridoy has been fined 15 per cent of his match fee for breaching Level 1 of the ICC Code of Conduct during the third T20I against Sri Lanka in Sylhet on Saturday.
