From now on, the traffic department of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) is going to observe traffic week every month to encourage people to follow traffic rules and improve traffic discipline.

Volunteers from Red Crescent, Bangladesh National Cadet Corps (BNCC) and scouts will work with traffic police at 57 check posts in Dhaka for two weeks to help people follow the traffic rules.

Law enforcers so far have collected over Tk one crore from different vehicles for breaking traffic rules in the first three days of the ongoing Traffic Week.
