The High Court has refused to grant bail to Bogura's Sramik League convenor Tufan Sarker in a sensational case filed for abducting and raping a female student and torturing her mother in 2017.

Suspended Sramik League leader Tufan Sarkar has admitted raping the Bogra college girl after promising that he would marry her, police said.
