Bangladesh, like most other Asian countries, witnessed a rapid rise in urban population, a fact that requires stronger urban governance to make the cities liveable and thriving, said a new report of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).

Information Minister Hasanul Haque Inu says the draft of a ‘Broadcast Law’ will be placed at the next session of Parliament in June after getting clearance from Cabinet.

Bangladesh’s position remains unchanged in the Human Development Index, according to the 2015 Human Development Report launched by UNDP.
