The US Commission on International Religious Freedom has expressed deep concerns about the worsening religious freedom conditions in Bangladesh and other South Asian countries.

Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal has said the US State Department's recent human report on the abuse of power by the country's law enforcement agencies is contradictory.

The US state department has said although the number of terrorist attacks around the world declined last year, terror incidents went up significantly in Bangladesh.
