Warner Bros Discovery (WBD) has issued an official statement opposing calls for a boycott of Israeli film institutions, saying such actions would violate the company’s anti-discrimination policies.

Shares in Warner Bros Discovery and Paramount Skydance spiked significantly after reports emerged that Paramount Skydance is preparing a takeover offer for Warner Bros Discovery. The deal would cover the entire company, which oversees major assets including CNN, HBO, and the film studios behind hits such as “Barbie” and “Harry Potter”.

In a surprising shake-up for animation fans, Warner Bros Discovery has pulled all classic “Looney Tunes” episodes from its streaming platform, Max, as of March 16, 2025. This move erases the legendary antics of Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, and Porky Pig from the service, leaving viewers bewildered and disappointed. 

The list of movies spans various genres and decades, ranging from classics to cult favourites, ensuring a broad appeal including iconic titles like “Mutiny on the Bounty” featuring Marlon Brando, the Eddie Murphy sci-fi comedy “The Adventures of Pluto Nash”, and Robert De Niro’s historical drama “The Mission”.
