The plant will treat 50 million litres of water daily

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina yesterday urged city dwellers to exercise austerity while using water since a significant amount of money is spent on water treatment.

It will take Dhaka Wasa a few more years to complete the third phase of the surface water treatment plant in Sayedabad because of the delay in construction of a pipeline.
