Many low-lying areas of Chattogram city went under knee-deep water due to rain, causing sufferings to commuters and residents today (June 17, 2022).

Most of the areas in the port city of Chattogram go under knee-to-waist deep water due to incessant downpour since Sunday night causing immense sufferings for the city dwellers.

Some locals now keep boats, not cars, in their garages. Before going out to work, people here always check the tide schedules. During the high tide, businesses come to a grinding halt while students attend classes sitting on high benches as the ground floors of schools go under knee-deep water.
