The ruling Awami League yesterday drew heavy flak from its left-leaning allies for ignoring them in taking many crucial political decisions  and also for already starting “electioneering” for the next national polls.

Workers Party former general secretary and politburo member Bimol Bishwas has resigned from the party, saying that the left-leaning organisation is being run in an undemocratic manner.

Workers Party of Bangladesh yesterday recommended holding the next general elections under the incumbent Awami League government.
