The ruling Awami League backed chairman candidates lost in the zilla parishad polls in 11 districts yesterday.

Chief Election Commission Kazi Habibul Awal today said the commission is satisfied about the atmosphere of zilla parishad elections as "no irregularities and violence were reported from anywhere".
