3rd Ctg ICT Fair begins Jan 15

The 3rd Chattogram ICT Fair-2025 is set to begin in the port city from January 15, aiming to connect with mass people, and encourage youths to get involved in ICT sector.

The Chattogram Chapter of Internet Service Provider of Bangladesh (ISPB) will be organising the three-day event, featuring programmes involving youths, ICT entrepreneurs and tech enthusiasts.

Md Emdad ul Bari, chairman of the Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC), will inaugurate the opening session, Md Anwarul Azim, vice-president of ISPB and convener of the event, said at a press briefing today.

"Renowned tech companies will participate in the fair and introduce new tech gadgets, hardware and software to people," he said.

"Our prime target is to create technical manpower in the sector. So, we have been organising events including science fair, robotic competitions, seminars, technical workshops, and others," he added.

"There will be several segments on Artificial Intelligence at the fair. Around 50,000 leaflets have been distributed in educational institutions across port city to connect to the youths," said Md Razib Shahriar Rubens, convener of ISPB Chattogram.

The organisers said there will be 100 stalls. Ambar IT, Fiber at Home, TP-Link, CData, Exabyte Ltd, Race Online, Bahon Limited, Summit Communication, and Wind Streams are sponsoring the event.
