Additional 5% VAT exempted on local e-bikes until 2030 

In the proposed national budget for the fiscal year 2025–26, an extension in the exemption of the additional 5% value-added tax (VAT) on locally manufactured electric bicycles has been extended until June 30, 2030. 

This measure aims to support the domestic e-bike industry and promote the adoption of environmentally friendly transportation options.
