EMK Center has launched its Small Grant 2025 program, inviting individuals, groups, and organisations to submit project proposals that address social challenges while fostering US-Bangladesh collaboration.

According to a press release by the organisation, the EMK Small Grant provides funding to projects that "inspire change, celebrate innovation, and strengthen the ties between the people of the United States and Bangladesh".

As per EMK Center, this year's program focuses on five themes: democratic values, economic empowerment, environmental sustainability, STEM education, and arts and culture. The amount of the grant award will be between BDT 200,000 and 500,000, with the project running from February to August 2025.

Selected applicants will participate in a final pitch session to showcase their ideas and negotiate budgets. Winners will be announced in February 2025, with funded projects launching immediately thereafter.

Partisan political activities, construction projects, fundraising campaigns, or activities tied to religious promotion or lobbying will not be considered as applicants, says the press release.

Applications are accepted online until January 15, 2025.
