JCI Dhaka West hosted the 'Haier JCI Dhaka West Rise Up Run 2025' on May 31 at the Hatirjheel waterfront, in a community event commemorating 110 years of Junior Chamber International (JCI) and bringing together over 1,500 participants.

The event saw runners of all ages and backgrounds, featuring two categories — a 7.5 km challenge run and a 1 km fun run. A warm-up session was conducted before the official flag-off at 5:33 AM.

Organised by JCI Dhaka West, this year's Haier JCI Dhaka West Rise Up Run was an initiative to honour JCI's 110-year legacy. As per a press release, the event reflected JCI's values of active citizenship, showcasing how small, collective steps can drive positive change at scale.

The run drew participation from a diverse group — including corporate leaders, university teams, fitness groups, community advocates, and families with children. Participants came not only from Dhaka but also from surrounding districts. Many joined in support of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which were showcased as part of the event's core messaging, adds the press release.
