'National Education & Innovation Dialogue 2025' hosted at NSU

An event called 'National Education & Innovation Dialogue 2025' was recently organised by Bangladesh Brand Forum at North South University.
According to a press release, the event addressed pressing issues in Bangladesh's education and innovation ecosystem, such as youth unemployment, income inequality, and the underperformance of the ICT sector.
North South University Startups Next (NSUSN) led the second-panel discussion, titled 'Unlocking Bangladesh's Startup Ecosystem: Challenges and Opportunities', which featured Sadia Haque (Founder & CEO, ShareTrip), Sylvana Quader Sinha (Founder & CEO, Praava Health), Bijon Islam (Co-founder & CEO, LightCastle Partners), and Md. Shazzad Hosain, PhD (Professor & Dean, SEPS, NSU).
The discussion identified key barriers for startups, such as limited access to finance, high interest rates, and lack of mentorship, states the press release. Panelists emphasised the need for venture capital networks, government-backed funding, and structured incubators to foster innovation and entrepreneurial growth, adds the press release.
The session concluded with recommendations for a startup-friendly regulatory framework, global market access, and stronger industry-academia collaboration, further states the press release.
