A three day long Digital Bangladesh Fair kicked off yesterday, on January 16, at the Bangabandhu International Convention Centre. Prime Minister’s Information and Communication Technology Affairs Adviser Sajeeb Wazed Joy inaugurated the event with the theme, “Highways of Technology in Bangabandhu’s Sonar Bangla”.

Job portal launching soon for people with disabilities, says Palak at ”Job Fair for people with disabilities 2020”

Zunaid Ahmed Palak, State Minister for Information, Communication and Technology has stated that a job portal catering to people with disabilities will be launched soon. He stated this during the inauguration of the “Job Fair for people with disabilities 2020” on January 11 at Agargaon. He further reinstated that special needs people can showcase their skills and adaptability in the job market through the job portal. He said that using technology to tackle disparities and to establish equity was one of the key goals behind “Vision 2021” for Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. Digital service and training centres will also be initiated in the 28 Hi-tech parks of the country. 

3-day long Digital Bangladesh Fair begins

A three day long Digital Bangladesh Fair kicked off yesterday, on January 16, at the Bangabandhu International Convention Centre. Prime Minister’s Information and Communication Technology Affairs Adviser Sajeeb Wazed Joy inaugurated the event with the theme, “Highways of Technology in Bangabandhu’s Sonar Bangla”.

The event is being organised by the Post and Telecommunications Division and both government and private entities in the country’s digital sector are taking part in it to demonstrate their products.

Brands like Huawei, Samsung, Walton, Symphony and others are set to demonstrate their latest technologies and products including 5G technology, broadband internet, triple play technology, mobile apps, parental control and many more.

Alongside the event, 13 different seminars will take place where the panelists are set to talk about latest technology trends, SDG achievements and other pressing issues in the country’s technology sector.
