CEC thanks all for ‘free, fair’ election

Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Kazi Rakibuddin Ahmad found no irregularities while visiting some polling centres in the city and thanked all for helping him hold a ‘free, fair election’.

“No agents and voters complained of any irregularities. None faced any threats on their way to cast votes,” he said.

He said some unwanted incidents took place at a few places.

The CEC was talking at a press conference at the Election Commission Secretariat in Dhaka this evening.

H also urged all parties to accept the polls result.
