The programme was held at Alliance Francaise de Dhaka to mark the global 16 Days of Activism against gender-based violence. To raise awareness and amplify the voices of those who are often unheard, the annual 16 Days of Activism campaign is held globally, with this year's theme "Towards Beijing +30: UNiTE to End Violence Against Women and Girls."

This campaign calls for unity in the fight for women's rights and safety, urging women to advocate for themselves and demand an end to violence.

This year, the Netherlands Embassy initiated a powerful social media campaign mobilising social media influencers, activists and singers. In Dhaka, the embassy hosted a special event at Alliance Francaise to unite voices against gender-based violence.

The event featured a dynamic mix of music, activism, and solidarity. Also in attendance were renowned singers, music bands, social workers and women's rights activists as well as journalists and others.

The event was organised by the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, with strategic support from Red Orange Limited for the campaign and event coordination.
