Human haulier runs over man in Babu Bazar

A human haulier ran over a man on the Babu Bazar bridge in Old Dhaka early today.

The deceased was primarily identified as Shanu, 30.

The vehicle lost control and ran him over on the bridge around 6:00am, said Parvez Islam, an inspector of Kotwali Police Station.

Shanu was rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where doctors declared him dead.

Police detained the vehicle but the driver managed to escape.
