Khaleda ‘in good health’
BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia is in good health except some old age complications, doctors say.
Prof MA Tahir, former vice-chancellor of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University, made the comment to reporters after checking the health condition of Khaleda at her Gulshan office in Dhaka today.
Prof Tahir, who headed a medical team, added that BNP Vice-Chairman Selima Rahman and Standing Committee Member Nazrul Islam Khan are a bit sick.
The doctors went to the office around 3:00pm where Khaleda along with some 60 senior BNP leaders and office staffs have been staying since January 3.
Sayrul Kabir Khan, a senior staff of BNP chairperson's media wing, told The Daily Star that the medical team went to the office on information that some of the office staffs fell sick.
Contacted over phone earlier today, Selima Rahman said she is diabetic and her sugar level increased due to irregular lifestyle for the last few days.
Police have been curbing the food supply for the staffs of the office, except Khaleda since February 11.
Since then, the staffs of the office have been living on dry foods.
