More than 100 detained so far in Gopalganj joint forces drive: police

Over 100 have been detained in a joint forces drive in Gopalganj as of 9:00pm today.

Gopalganj SP Mizanur Rahman confirmed the number of detainees, saying that the process of filing cases against them is underway.

Videos of the incidents of violence in the southern district yesterday are being collected and analysed to identify the perpetrators, he said, adding that this information will be used to file cases agains those detained.

At least four people were killed and dozens injured in daylong running battles between law enforcers and Awami League followers in Gopalganj yesterday.
