Polling centre information through mobile sms
Voters in Dhaka north, south and Chittagong city corporations will be able to get information on their polling centres through SMS on their mobile phones.
According to a press release issued by the Election Commission, voters, having 17-digit NID numbers, will have to go to SMS option on their handsets, write 'PC', followed by a space and then type the 17-digit numbers and send it to 16103.
Voters with a 13-digit NID number will have to write 'PC', enter space, then the four-digit year of his/her birth and finally, the 13-digit number before sending the text to 16103.
On the other hand, the new voters without the NID card will have to go to SMS option on their handsets, write 'PC', followed by a space and then type the voter registration slip number followed by a space and then their birth dates in the dd-mm-yyyy format and send it to 16103.
Moreover, voters can also know the information required to cast their votes tomorrow by visiting www.ec.org.bd or www.nidw.gov.bd.
