Remittance continues to rise in May

Bangladesh receives $1.32 billion in remittance in May against $1.29 billion in March 2015.

Non-resident Bangladeshis sent home $1.32 billion in May, according to Bangladesh Bank.

The country received $1.32 billion in remittance last month against $1.29 billion in March 2015, as stated in Bangladesh Bank data released today.

The amount is 1.69 percent more than the previous month.

With May’s receipts, the fiscal year's total reaches $13.87 billion so far (in 11 months).
