JU to reopen halls on Oct 11

The authorities of Jahangirnagar University (JU) have decided to reopen its halls for students from October 11 while the academic activities will be resumed from October 21.

The decision was made at a virtual syndicate meeting with JU Vice-Chancellor (VC) Professor Farzana Islam in the chair.

After emerging from the meeting, JU Registrar (acting) Rahima Kaneez briefed reporters around 10:45pm at the administrative building.

"Virtual and in-person classes will be resumed from October 21. Students were asked to follow health safety rules and to take one shot of Covid-19 vaccine," she said.

The university's central library and cafeteria will also be reopened for students from October 11, she added.
