RUET dormitories to reopen Oct 28

The authorities of Rajshahi University of Engineering and Technology (RUET) today decided to reopen its residential halls from October 28.

The decision was taken at an emergency meeting of the syndicate with vice chancellor Prof Md Rafiqul Alam Sheikh in the chair. Acting Registrar of RUET Prof Md Selim Hossain, confirmed this information to The Daily Star.

He said, they instructed all concerned authorities to prepare the dormitories, including cleaning, ensuring health materials and setting up an isolation centre at the university medical centre.

Earlier on Tuesday, the university academic council recommended to reopen the residential halls for students maintaining health guidelines.
