The High Court yesterday asked for a report on how many underprivileged students and children of freedom fighters studied without tuition fees from 2010 at all 105 private universities.
The High Court yesterday asked for a report on how many underprivileged students and children of freedom fighters studied without tuition fees from 2010 at all 105 private universities.
The UGC has been ordered to submit the report in 60 days. In response to a petition, the HC also asked UGC to submit another report on how much money has been allocated for research at the universities.
The HC bench of Md Mozibur Rahman Miah and Justice Khizir Hayat came up with the order following a writ petition filed by Consumers Association of Bangladesh.
Lawyer Jyotirmoy Barua moved the petition.
