Education Minister Dipu Moni today said that there is no scope to hold the next public examinations on time.

Education Minister Dipu Moni today said that there is no scope to hold the next public examinations on time.

"But hoping that the examinations will not be held this late, like this year," the education minister told reporters after visiting an SSC exam centre at Chandpur Hasan Ali Government High School. 

The education minister said that the government will take initiatives to make up for the time students lost due to Covid-19.

She thanked Almighty Allah for giving the opportunity to hold the public examination amid pandemic.

She also expressed her gratitude to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina for tackling the Covid-19 situation efficiently.

The minister also thanked the authorities concerned, including the health ministry, for containing the pandemic. "We are also grateful to the public for their cooperation."

The education minister later inaugurated vaccination programme for students -- aged 12 and 18 -- at Al-Amin Academy School and College in Chandpur.
