School admission form distribution starts Nov 25
Distribution of forms for admission to all government and non-government secondary schools across the country will start from November 25.
"Aspirants will be able to collect forms and submit it till December 8. Students have to apply and pay fees online in this regard," said a director of the Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education (DSHE) today, wishing anonymity.
Students will be able to select five schools against one form. Price of a form would be set at Tk 110.
Admissions to all government and non-government secondary schools in the coming academic session would be held through a central lottery.
The lottery for government schools is likely to be held on December 15 and it for non-government schools may take place on December 19, the DSHE director told The Daily Star.
Contacted, DSHE Director (Secondary) Belal Hossain said they announced the date for starting the distribution and submission of admission forms.
He said that DSHE today directed field level officials to update their information on how many seats were vacant at all government and non- government schools between November 17 to 22.
According to the plan, selected students for government secondary schools will be able to take admission in between December 18-23 and students, who will get place at waiting list, will be able to take admission in between December 26-30.
On the other hand, students at non government schools will be able to take admission between December 21-27 while students on the waiting list will be able to enrol between December 28-30.
