Schools, colleges to remain open till April 26 during Ramadan

The education ministry today decided that all secondary schools and colleges will remain open till April 26 during the Ramadan.

The decision has been taken to recover the learning losses caused by Covid-19 pandemic ensued school closure, the Secondary and Higher Education Division said in an order issued today.

Ramadan is likely to begin on April 2.

Earlier, the primary and mass education ministry decided that all primary schools and colleges will remain open till 20th Ramadan, aiming to recover the learning loss.

In-person classes in schools fully resumed in mid-March after over 720 days of schools closure in two phases in between March 17, 2020 to March 2022.
