Two-day weekend at primary, secondary schools from 2023

Primary and secondary educational institutions will have two-day weekend -- Friday and Saturday – from next year, Education Minister Dipu Moni said today.

She made the comments while talking to reporters after attending a programme at The National Curriculum and Textbook Board (NCTB).

She went to NCTB to distribute textbooks among the students of 62 secondary schools in which piloting of the new curriculum will take place.

The upcoming curriculum also proposed a two-day weekend -- Friday and Saturday -- in schools, instead of just Friday.
