Two 11th grade students – Seewoo (Eric) Lee and Adyan Naser – recently developed an art challenge and fundraiser project for JAAGO Foundation.

The two students, who had worked as interns for JAAGO, sought ways to raise awareness for the nonprofit organisation and provide JAAGO students a new, enriching learning opportunity.

With support from their school, Eric and Adyan donated a box full of art supplies including paint, paintbrushes, colour pencils, crayons, and paper to the JAAGO Banani School. Eventually, 20 students of various grade levels each produced an artwork on the theme of environmentalism.

The art project encouraged JAAGO students to further recognise the importance of climate activism and eco-friendly change.

The final products were collected, displayed, and put on sale at the student-organisers' school. Through advertisements on the school weekly newsletter, posters distributed around school, and digital and physical purchase forms, Eric and Adyan sold the hand-painted art pieces and amplified the vision of the JAAGO Foundation.

All profits, amounting to over a quarter lakh taka, were donated to the JAAGO Foundation on June 21.

Sharing his experience, Eric said, "It's amazing to see the JAAGO students' creativity ultimately circle back and benefit JAAGO. I'm glad that we were able to successfully host this project and personally interact with the students."
