Demand for road safety: Students bring out cycle rally in Dhaka

Students of several schools and colleges started a bicycle rally from Dhaka's Rampura to Notre Dame College -- demanding safe roads and justice for victims of road accidents.

The rally began around 3:45pm at Rampura Bridge area.

Police initially intercepted the rally, but later allowed them to pass through.

Sohagi Samia, a student of Khilgaon Model College, representing demonstrators, said that the demo will continue with 11-point demand, including safety on roads and justice for the deceased.
