BDC to screen “Hope Dies Last in War”

Bangladesh Documentary Council (BDC) will hold the screening of “Hope Dies Last in War”, followed by a “Meet the Director” session with noted Indian filmmaker Supriyo Sen on August 29 at 5:30pm.

Bangladesh Documentary Council (BDC) will hold the screening of “Hope Dies Last in War”, followed by a “Meet the Director” session with noted Indian filmmaker Supriyo Sen on August 29 at 5:30pm. The event will take place at the auditorium of Bangladesh Short Film Forum at Aziz Super Market in the capital.

“Hope Dies Last in War”, a critically acclaimed film by Supriyo Sen, won President Gold Medal Award in India. Following the screening there will be a question answer session with the director.

The film revolves around the struggles of 54 Indian soldiers who were taken as prisoners of war during 1971. The film is a saga of the struggles of their family, who are still awaiting the return of their loved ones.

It records a tragic stalemate, sufferings of love and shining moments of humanity.
