Chirkutt to perform at Celebrating Life Gala

The gala night of The Daily Star- Standard Chartered Celebrating Life will take place on January 10 at Mirpur Indoor Stadium in the capital.

Popular band Chirkutt will perform at the event. The band has composed a song which won the first prize in this year's competition in lyrics category. Chirkutt will also compose top 10 songs of this year's lyrics category and bring out an album featuring those tracks.   

About their collaboration with Celebrating Life, Chirkutt's lead vocalist Sumi said, “It's an opportunity for us to work with some of the emerging talents of the country. They submitted some meaningful and touchy lyrics which we can easily relate to.”

“We composed the song's first prize winning lyrics and will perform it at the gala. As a band, Chirkutt prefers to work on different genres and I hope our collaboration with these lyricists will be a success.”

Aside from a number of musicians and bands, Chirkutt have been a key part of this year's Celebrating Life performing in its major district festivals in 2015.
