Bibi Russel working in Pritilata biopic

Bangladeshi fashion icon, designer Bibi Russel has taken on a new project: costume designer in motion picture “Pritilata”. The biopic will showcase the legendary freedom fighter and the first revolutionary female martyr Pritilata Waddedar's rebellious stories and her fights against the British rule.  

With screenplay and dialogues by Golam Rabbani and directed by Rashid Palash, the film will be released under Punnya Film Banner. The shooting of the film will start in September right after casting is finalised. 

Regarding the film, Bibi Russel shared, “I hope it's going to be a wonderful film. Pritilata is an iconic figure for all of us, as she represents the indomitable spirit of women. So the film itself demands a special care in terms of costume, and I'm looking forward to it.” 

“Pritilata was from Chittagong, where I am originally from, too!” said the international model-turned fashion designer.
