Blade Runner 2049 trailer released

The trailer for “Blade Runner 2049” is taking Harrison Ford back to his other iconic sci-fi property.

The film is set several decades after the original, with Ford once again playing Rick Deckard. In the trailer, he meets the character played by Ryan Gosling, who now has the job of hunting Replicants — bioengineered beings, some of whom are virtually indistinguishable from humans. 

“I had your job once. I was good at it,” Deckard says as he points a gun at Gosling's character, who replies, “Things were simpler then.”

The film, a sequel to the 1982 neo-noir sci-fi cult classic, also stars Jared Leto, Robin Wright and Ana de Armas. Denis Villeneuve is directing the Alcon Entertainment project.

“Blade Runner 2049” will be released October 6, 2017.
