Tributes pour in for Subir Nandi
People from all walks of life are paying their last respects to renowned singer Subir Nandi in Dhaka city after his body was brought back from Singapore this morning.
A flight of Regent Airways, carrying the mortal remains, landed at Dhaka airport around 6:50am, Golam Kuddus, general secretary of Sammilita Sangskritik Jote told UNB.
Later, his body was taken to his Green Road residence from where it will be taken to Dhakeshwari Temple.
Subir's body was kept at Central Shaheed Minar in the capital for the people to pay their last respects from 11:00am, our photojournalist reports.
It was taken to Film Development Corporation (FDC) around 12:45pm. It will be also taken to Channel i office and Ramkrishna Mission in the city.
Subir Nandi's body will be taken to Sabujbag cremation ground.
The 66-year-old died at a hospital in Singapore early Tuesday.
